Fees & Payments Policy – This policy is part of our Terms of Use

Sellers may be charged for using some of Quirky.im’s services. This Fees & Payments Policy explains your fees and taxes and how to pay them.

This policy is a part of our Terms of Use. By opening an Quirky.im shop, you’re agreeing to this policy and our Terms of Use.

1. Types of Fees

Sellers may be required to pay the following types of fees. Please note that all fees are listed exclusive of any value added tax (VAT) although that may apply in the future.

Transaction Fees

When you make a sale through Quirky.im, you will be charged a transaction fee plus any taxes, bank fees or payment gateway fees. The current transaction fee is 10%, which includes payment gateway fees and bank fees. There are no fees for listing or annual fees to pay. You will also be charged 2.5% on shipping costs to cover the payment gateway fees.

The transaction fee will apply to the full value of the products purchased. If you offer optional personalisation for an additional fee, the additional fee for personalisation should be included in the listing price you display and the total display price will be subject to the same transaction fees described above.

See the information on VAT in relation to any taxes which may be applicable depending on whether you are registered for VAT and certain countries you may sell to. Fees are calculated as each sale occurs and are shown on your vendor dashboard.

2. Fee Avoidance

Any action by a Seller to avoid paying a fee is considered fee avoidance and is strictly prohibited by Quirky.im. The price stated in each listing description must be an accurate representation of the sale. Sellers may not alter the item’s price after a sale for the purpose of avoiding Quirky.im transaction fees, misrepresent the item’s location, or use another user’s account without permission.

3. Paying your Quirky.im Fees

Quirky.im will automatically deduct all fees (and taxes, if applicable) from your account and will remit payment by the 10th of the following month.

Your invoice for fees showing the gross amount of your sales plus postage costs and a remittance advice showing how much you will be paid will be made available at the beginning of each month. This will include all sales and fee activity from the preceding month. Quirky.im will retain its fees and you will be paid the net amount.

4. Refunds

It may occasionally be necessary to make a refund to a customer. If a Seller has already been paid by Quirky.im for this transaction, an invoice will be raised to recoup the amount refunded. In the event of non-payment by the Seller, Quirky.im reserves the right to deduct the amount due from future sales by the Seller until the full amount of the refund has been recouped.

5. Taxes

Aside from the limited circumstances set out below, you are responsible for collecting and paying any taxes associated with using and making sales through Quirky.im’s services.

If you sell on Quirky.im you may need to include applicable taxes in your listing prices. You should also detail your VAT number (if applicable) on your Store page so that customers will know to ask for a VAT invoice where required.
