Nope, it’s not Halloween on the Isle of Man, it’s Hop-tu-naa. We carve turnips instead of pumpkins (infinitely more challenging – the use of power tools is advised to avoid blisters).

It’s celebrated on the same day, but we have some very different traditions, such as singing ‘Jinny the Witch’.
