Who doesn’t love a bee – especially when she/he is buzzing gently in our green meadows on our beautiful Isle of Man?
This handy sized coin purse measures approximately 13 cms wide and 9 cms high and is completely made by me in my sewing studio right here on the Isle of Man.
Although it is exactly the right size to slip into your bag or pocket filled with coins, a few notes and perhaps a credit card or two, it could also be used to carry a small sewing kit or use with your larger project bag to hold your stitch counters for your crochet or knitting.
I’ve made it from pure Harris Tweed – an inter-Island collaboration between me here on the Isle of Man and a weaver on the Isle of Lewis in the Highlands of Scotland.
The outside is a very pretty shade of Meadow Green and it is fully lined with pure cotton in a floral design which complements the colours of the tweed and is finished with a Tibetan silver bee charm. Of course it has a zipped top.
It packs flat and is therefore easy to pop in the post to a friend or loved one to tell them you are thinking of them. It even comes in an organza gift bag at no extra charge.
* As my fabric collection changes over time it may be necessary to use a different lining fabric. But don’t worry – it will always be complementary to the exterior!
So what have I been up to lately? You’ll find some lovely summer bags on the site and also some cute phone pouches which are ideal when you want to carry a little more than your phone and a card or two. These are great - and I plan to make lots more!
I've also been using more Ukranian Embroidery designs on bags. This one is my latest in black leather with an adjustable strap.
I've also been experimenting with Needlefelting and this lovely Kindle case is the result.
By the way, if you are a visitor you might like to know that everything on my site can be purchased online and shipped to your home address.
(If you live outside the UK you may wish to contact me first - overseas postage can be prohibitive these days so best to talk about it first.
FOOTNOTE: You may have noticed that most of my items are marked 'one only'.
This is because everything I make is handmade - and handcut - from the bottom up! I make what I love and hope you will too!
