Who doesn’t love a bee – especially when she/he is buzzing gently in our green meadows on our beautiful Isle of Man?
This handy sized coin purse measures approximately 13 cms wide and 9 cms high and is completely made by me in my sewing studio right here on the Isle of Man.
Although it is exactly the right size to slip into your bag or pocket filled with coins, a few notes and perhaps a credit card or two, it could also be used to carry a small sewing kit or use with your larger project bag to hold your stitch counters for your crochet or knitting.
I’ve made it from pure Harris Tweed – an inter-Island collaboration between me here on the Isle of Man and a weaver on the Isle of Lewis in the Highlands of Scotland.
The outside is a very pretty shade of Meadow Green and it is fully lined with pure cotton in a floral design which complements the colours of the tweed and is finished with a Tibetan silver bee charm. Of course it has a zipped top.
It packs flat and is therefore easy to pop in the post to a friend or loved one to tell them you are thinking of them. It even comes in an organza gift bag at no extra charge.
* As my fabric collection changes over time it may be necessary to use a different lining fabric. But don’t worry – it will always be complementary to the exterior!
Happy. happy December!
December already? Unbelievable!
For those of you who celebrate Christmas it's deep-breath-and-plunge-into-shopping-time.Now I don't know about you but I am always seduced by the idea of Christmas Shopping in the High Street, laden with brightly wrapped packages, stopping for Egg Nog or mulled wine while Christmas songs play and snow gently falls...… but I must say - in all my years - it has NEVER been like that😊 Nowadays I am more likely to be entranced by the possibility of shopping at home in my jammies, sipping a huge mug of tea or whatever in front of the log burner, half watching ancient Christmas movies on telly. But - I hear you say - I want to shop local this year! Ad this, my friends, is where Cinnamon Embroidery comes in! Everything on my page is unique and handmade solely by me at home in my own studio. NO elves are involved. Take a wander through my site and you are sure to find something that will make an ideal gift for you or someone you love. I am always working on new items so check back often! You may also like to follow me at Cinnamon Embroidery on Facebook. That way you will always be up to date and the first in the know! And don't forget my colleagues here on Quirky.im. SO many wonderful things!
Whatever you are doing this month - have a happy, happy time!
