Original mixed media artwork, made with reclaimed wood from an old Laxey cottage, ceramics, wire and nails.

Holding it Together
£70.00
This is an original piece of art, that is made up of raku clay and wood that was rescued from an old Laxey Cottage. The concept is about working hands, their capabilities and the pain they can endure (particularly from the nails on the tentering sticks, used for hanging kippers ready for the smoke house). I am a Manx woman from Peel, married to a Douglas fisherman and my roots are firmly fixed within our glorious Island. I love nostalgia and the earthyness of clay and old wood, so this often features in my artwork, along with found objects. This artwork has a hanger on the back so that it is ready to hang on a wall.
This artwork will be delivered at no extra cost on the Isle of Man.
