Well Crossroads is launching an exciting new initiative that we hope can change this!
The In Case of Emergency (ICE) USB is something that you can carry around with you that contains all the information needed to contact your loved ones if you find yourself in an emergency situation.
The USB stores a file which can carry all the information emergency services would need to let your loved ones know if you have been in an emergency. The file will contain your name, phone number, year of birth, doctors name, and who to contact in case of an emergency and their contact details. It will also contain medical information such as allergies, medical conditions and any medication you may be taking.
The USB can carry 200 pages of information, and there is nothing on the USB that can be used by someone if it was lost or stolen.
The USB can come as a keyring or credit card so can easily be added to your keys, kept in your pocket, or purse / wallet! We also have some lanyards available.
We are really excited about the ICE USBs! Whilst we hope none of them have to be used by the emergency services, we believe that it can give you and your loved ones some peace of mind in case you do end up in an emergency.
