Notebook/Journal covered in Harris Tweed with full length zipped pen pocket
These days there are a number of ways we can keep notes – iPads, phones, laptops etc but sometimes there is nothing to beat a beautiful notebook in which to record your thoughts, dreams and ambitions.
This journal is covered in a beautiful shade of blue Harris Tweed shot through with shades of red, green and Kingfisher blue (The colour is much warmer than the picture shows)
The zip pocket, which is securely stitched so it is part of the front cover, is made from a lovely deep, warm, maroon red piece of Harris Tweed which perfectly complements the cover fabric.
This book cover – and Harris Tweed is famous all over the world – is really an inter-Island collaboration as it is woven by a weaver I know on the Isle of Lewis. To acknowledge that, the zipper tab is finished with a tiny Tibetan Silver charm in the form of a thistle.
The journal is lined in a lovely 100% cotton – which you will see when it is time to replace your notebook. Because this cover is actually refillable with almost any A5 notebook of your choice. It also has – as part of the cover – a pagemarker strip of maroon satin ribbon.
The notebook supplied is ruled and has a pocket at the back. Together with the flap, this means you have three places to keep notes or receipts etc – one in front and two in back.
Great gift for man or woman!
More coming soon but currently only one in this colourway.
Completely made by me in my home studio here on the beautiful Isle of Man.
By the way – although I charge for post – I don’t charge for packing as I try and use recycled packing materials wherever possible.
So what have I been up to lately? You’ll find some lovely summer bags on the site and also some cute phone pouches which are ideal when you want to carry a little more than your phone and a card or two. These are great - and I plan to make lots more!
I've also been using more Ukranian Embroidery designs on bags. This one is my latest in black leather with an adjustable strap.
I've also been experimenting with Needlefelting and this lovely Kindle case is the result.
By the way, if you are a visitor you might like to know that everything on my site can be purchased online and shipped to your home address.
(If you live outside the UK you may wish to contact me first - overseas postage can be prohibitive these days so best to talk about it first.
FOOTNOTE: You may have noticed that most of my items are marked 'one only'.
This is because everything I make is handmade - and handcut - from the bottom up! I make what I love and hope you will too!
