Oil Painting – Under the Stairs

This original oil and cold wax abstract painting is on a deep Loxley canvas. The materials used are of the highest quality. This painting is part of a group of paintings, relating to my early life in a house in Lydia Street. A range of techniques have been used to create the history and nostalgia of the piece. The cold wax medium allows me to layer and manipulate the paint, in ways that I would be unable to do without it.
