HAPPY JUNE!

 

Blazing June - and it's warm, sunny and wonderful here on the beautiful Isle of Man!  We are bang in the middle of TT and the wonderful atmosphere and joy that it brings.  I think it's worth mentioning therefore that if you see anything on this site that you would love to take home with you, bear in mind that it can be posted to your UK address so it will be waiting for you when you get back.

 

Last month I introduced the stunning new Star range of bags, purses and pouches by Cinnamon Embroidery which featured leather applique on canvas on a variety of bags and pouches.  Inspired by this I've decided to make a smaller series of Western-style bags and pouches featuring embroidered leather applique on recycled denim.  The first of these is shown above but I hope there will be more to follow.

 

I have to say I love the fact that I'm using recycled and upcycled fabrics and love, love, love working with leather and denim.

A soft leather glasses/sunglasses case in jet black embroidered with a simple spray of scarlet poppies.

This glasses case is made from the softest leather and is lightly padded to protect your glasses. It’s big enough to hold the largest pair of sunglasses without difficulty. The black leather has a soft sheen to it and it is embroidered with two scarlet poppies.
It’s fully lined with pure cotton (black with a poppy motif) and has a zipped closure – complete with scarlet zipper pull.
It’s gloriously tactile and rather stylish and made completely by me right here in my sewing studio on the Isle of Man.
What a great gift (it packs flat for easy posting) to tell someone you are thinking of them – or simply as a gift for yourself.

The case measures approximately 8 inches wide by 3.5 inches high.

Soft leather sunglasses case

Excellent item. Extremely well made and works great with my sunglasses. Beautiful design.

I’ve been a Fabricaholic, sewist and embroiderer for as long as I can remember and this obsession has started slowly but surely to extend itself into other areas – mainly embroidery and handmade bags.

I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting designs to enhance my products and add that unique touch.

My main focus is bags which vary from make up bags to tote bags to high end leather handbags. I use a great variety of fabrics from linen to leather, cotton to cork.

I also make items for home decor – embroidered pictures, embroidered tea towels, AGA pads, fabric storage boxes etc – even the odd cushion!  You can find these in my sister store Cinnamon Homestyle.

I mostly make what I love and hope that someone else will love it too and want to own it.

Everything I make is made by me – right here on the Isle of Man in my home studio.
