... although it's like the Bleak Midwinter today here on the Isle of Man.  But this too shall pass as they say so let's think about Spring-y things - like lambs, daffodils and - oh yes - Mother's Day!

A tall, slimline shoulder bag in Mustard Faux Mora Leather with Meadow Green accents in Italian leather.

Tall and slim and … – no, not the Girl from Ipanema – but the Bee in the Meadow Shoulder Bag. This elegant bag is truly one of a kind. It’s fully lined with bee-themed 100% cotton and features a leather placketed zipped pocket which is truly useful for things you want to keep to hand like your phone (it fits my iPhone 13) wallet or whatever.

Although it is slim in line it has enough room to comfortably carry your iPad as well as a myriad of other bits and bobs.

The main fabric is Mora Faux Leather, which is probably the nicest and softest I have used, in a lovely shade of Mustard. The embroidered flap, strap and handmade tassel are all made from lovely Italian leather in a complementary shade of Meadow Green. The long strap is riveted securely to the bag via brushed brass connectors and is reinforced with black cotton webbing – which not only makes it strong but prevents it from slipping off your shoulder. It closes by means of a magnetic snap on the underside of the bee-embroidered flap.

The lining is 100% cotton in a bee theme – as is the pocket lining.

The approximate measurements are 11.5 inches (29cm) high; 10.5 inches (26.5 cms)wide at the top tapering to 8.5ish inches (21.5 cms) at the bottom and 3 inches (7.5 cms) deep.

This is my own design (although I must acknowledge the talents of Diane Spencer Ogg who showed me the method of boxing the bottom) and is unique. It is made completely by me in my home studio here on the beautiful Isle of Man.

I’ve been a Fabricaholic, sewist and embroiderer for as long as I can remember and this obsession has started slowly but surely to extend itself into other areas – mainly embroidery and handmade bags.

I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting designs to enhance my products and add that unique touch.

My main focus is bags which vary from make up bags to tote bags to high end leather handbags. I use a great variety of fabrics from linen to leather, cotton to cork.

I also make items for home decor – embroidered pictures, embroidered tea towels, AGA pads, fabric storage boxes etc – even the odd cushion!  You can find these in my sister store Cinnamon Homestyle.

I mostly make what I love and hope that someone else will love it too and want to own it.

Everything I make is made by me – right here on the Isle of Man in my home studio.
