HAPPY AUGUST

I’M BAAAAAAACK!

      Well, August may have started off in a rather crummy way - weatherwise here on the Isle of Man - but I'm confident there are lots more sunny, happy days ahead! With this in mind, I'm thinking of bags and purses that you can carry with you to parties, weddings, the beach etc etc and so you will find some of these "Summer Specials" listed with a few more to come. I'm also pondering a Summer Special Sale.... to run for August.  So check those out - along with my latest products. Whatever you are doing this month - have a happy, happy time!

The Foxy Messenger Bag

Crossbody/Messenger bag in fox-patterned linen-look fabric with real leather flap, 100% cotton lining, internal pocket, magnetic closure and adjustable webbing strap.

I’ve had this fabric for a while and have been waiting for the right bag design to come along. When I found I had just enough soft brown leather for the flap and trim and identified a cute embroidery design for the internal slip pocket I couldn’t wait to start!

The external fabric is a linen-type fabric patterned with foxes and cubs. The lining fabric is 100% cotton and the internal slip pocket features a little embroidery of a fox curled up with her cub.
The strap is adjustable and is made from strong cotton webbing with antique brass finish hardware.

As a little extra I decided to make a tassel from the remaining leather which is detachable.
Measuring approximately 10 inches wide by 7 inches tall and 3 inches deep, this bag is both compact and roomy. It fastens with a metallic snap and has an adjustable webbing strap so it can be worn as either a shoulder bag or crossbody. The ideal bag for country pursuits!

I’ve been a Fabricaholic, sewist and embroiderer for as long as I can remember and this obsession has started slowly but surely to extend itself into other areas – mainly embroidery and handmade bags.

I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting designs to enhance my products and add that unique touch.

My main focus is bags which vary from make up bags to tote bags to high end leather handbags. I use a great variety of fabrics from linen to leather, cotton to cork.

I also make items for home decor – embroidered pictures, embroidered tea towels, AGA pads, fabric storage boxes etc – even the odd cushion!  You can find these in my sister store Cinnamon Homestyle.

I mostly make what I love and hope that someone else will love it too and want to own it.

Everything I make is made by me – right here on the Isle of Man in my home studio.
