I’M BAAAAAAACK!

      Well, August may have started off in a rather crummy way - weatherwise here on the Isle of Man - but I'm confident there are lots more sunny, happy days ahead! With this in mind, I'm thinking of bags and purses that you can carry with you to parties, weddings, the beach etc etc and so you will find some of these "Summer Specials" listed with a few more to come. I'm also pondering a Summer Special Sale.... to run for August.  So check those out - along with my latest products. Whatever you are doing this month - have a happy, happy time!

Navy blue and grey linen embroidered three way bag.

Apparently the Duchess of Cambridge favours clutch bags and has been seen on more than one occasion carrying an embroidered one.

Hence the Kate Clutch!

But this is a clutch bag with a difference as it can also be used as a shoulder bag or worn across the body. I’ve designed it so the 3/4 inch leather strap can be neatly tucked down inside the body of the bag without anything showing on the outside. The strap is also non-detachable which means that it is always with you and you never have to worry about remembering to bring the strap with you should you want to wear it differently thus giving it a sleek, streamlined look.

The bag is made from navy blue and grey spotted linen with a 100% cotton lining in a toning shade. The embroidered delphinium design, in shades of blue and green, covers the entire flap of the bag which is secured to the bag body by a magnetic snap. Other features include a quadruple top stitched pure leather strap; three silver nickel rivets on each side of the bag which not only add a bit of style but also mean that the strap is securely fixed to the bag and smart rectangular silver nickel hardware. There’s also a simple grey linen slip pocket inside.

The bag is remarkably roomy, measuring approximately 8 inches (20 cms) high by approximately 10.5 inches (26.5 cms) wide by approximately 1.75 inches (3.75 cms) deep. It is lightly structured to give a crisp, tailored look.

A word of caution though! This clutch is designed to be a summer/evening bag that you might carry to a wedding or other party. It is NOT designed to hold your life and to be stuffed to the gunnels (I am reminding myself here! 🙂 ) It’s also ideal to carry on holiday or even to pop in the post for a unique gift for a friend.

I’ve been a Fabricaholic, sewist and embroiderer for as long as I can remember and this obsession has started slowly but surely to extend itself into other areas – mainly embroidery and handmade bags.

I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting designs to enhance my products and add that unique touch.

My main focus is bags which vary from make up bags to tote bags to high end leather handbags. I use a great variety of fabrics from linen to leather, cotton to cork.

I also make items for home decor – embroidered pictures, embroidered tea towels, AGA pads, fabric storage boxes etc – even the odd cushion!  You can find these in my sister store Cinnamon Homestyle.

I mostly make what I love and hope that someone else will love it too and want to own it.

Everything I make is made by me – right here on the Isle of Man in my home studio.
