HAPPY AUGUST

I’M BAAAAAAACK!

      Well, August may have started off in a rather crummy way - weatherwise here on the Isle of Man - but I'm confident there are lots more sunny, happy days ahead! With this in mind, I'm thinking of bags and purses that you can carry with you to parties, weddings, the beach etc etc and so you will find some of these "Summer Specials" listed with a few more to come. I'm also pondering a Summer Special Sale.... to run for August.  So check those out - along with my latest products. Whatever you are doing this month - have a happy, happy time!

The Pop up Project Bag
Made from indigo denim with strong cotton handles and lined with a fun sheep print, this handy project bag is ideal to carry your latest project around with you. There’s even a snap closed pocket inside to contain all those bits and bobs, stitch markers and crochet hooks, scissors, tape measure etc that you don’t want to have falling to the bottom of your bag. I’ve pictured it here filled with wool, crochet hooks etc but it’s equally handy for someone (maybe a budding artist?) to carry their art pads, colouring books and pencils etc.

Its ingenious construction means that it lies flat when not in use meaning it is ideal to store away or to pack up and send to a loved one to say you are thinking of them. When you want to use the bag you just flatten out the bottom of the bag and you have lots of room! Another thing I like about it (and yes I do plan to make one for myself!) is that, at around 7 inches high, it is not so deep that you are endlessly rooting through it to find stuff!

Measures 14 inches (35.5cms) wide by 7 inches (17.75 cms) high and approximately 5.5 inches (14 cms) across the bottom when opened.

I’ve been a Fabricaholic, sewist and embroiderer for as long as I can remember and this obsession has started slowly but surely to extend itself into other areas – mainly embroidery and handmade bags.

I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting designs to enhance my products and add that unique touch.

My main focus is bags which vary from make up bags to tote bags to high end leather handbags. I use a great variety of fabrics from linen to leather, cotton to cork.

I also make items for home decor – embroidered pictures, embroidered tea towels, AGA pads, fabric storage boxes etc – even the odd cushion!  You can find these in my sister store Cinnamon Homestyle.

I mostly make what I love and hope that someone else will love it too and want to own it.

Everything I make is made by me – right here on the Isle of Man in my home studio.
