Hello November!

 

I'm a little bit late updating my little blogette here at Cinnamon Embroidery but I hope you are having a good November so far.

I've been working hard and have a couple of new items for you this month including a lovely leather purse/wallet and a pretty pouch featuring a cute little owl wreath made from cream felt and lined with faux suede.  Oh and in the cosy department don't forget to check out the hand crocheted cowls and fingerless gloves.  These have been very popular and I hope to make more if I can fit a few in.

The Starlight Purse/Wallet

Something new – it’s a purse, a wallet, a mini bag organiser, a card case, a phone case, a coin purse – even a modest clutch. Pop it in your bigger bag and it’s not only handy for an impromptu night out but also helps you find your bits and pieces without too much rummaging.

The outer is made from a new (to me) fabric – a deep navy embossed vinyl. The inner lining and piping is 100% cotton fabric by designer Kaffe Fasset and not only is there a top zipped closure but also a zipped pocket on the side for cash and a few coins. The inside features some card slots – into which you can fit several cards and is even roomy enough to fit my iPhone! Both zips are finished with a hand cut leather tag and small silver look rivets.

I was asked to test this by a bag designer so at the moment there is only one available. I love the design so may well make more in different fabrics!

I’ve been a Fabricaholic, sewist and embroiderer for as long as I can remember and this obsession has started slowly but surely to extend itself into other areas – mainly embroidery and handmade bags.

I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting designs to enhance my products and add that unique touch.

My main focus is bags which vary from make up bags to tote bags to high end leather handbags. I use a great variety of fabrics from linen to leather, cotton to cork.

I also make items for home decor – embroidered pictures, embroidered tea towels, AGA pads, fabric storage boxes etc – even the odd cushion!  You can find these in my sister store Cinnamon Homestyle.

I mostly make what I love and hope that someone else will love it too and want to own it.

Everything I make is made by me – right here on the Isle of Man in my home studio.
