Materials We endeavour to source and use only the finest materials to create my jewellery. Epoxy Resin We use a high quality art resin which is derived from museum conservation-grade materials to ensure its water-clear clarity is preserved for decades. Many resins contain a UV stabilizer to help delay the epoxy's natural yellowing process, however this alone is not enough to prevent yellowing from happening. The resin we use contains both a UV stabilizer as well as an advanced additive called HALS (hindered amine light stabilizer) that interrupts the yellowing process before it can begin. Whilst there is no guarantee that it will never yellow, it is claimed that the epoxy resin we use is engineered to offer the most efficient yellowing protection on the market. Resin Colouring We endeavour to source the highest quality products to colour our resin. -The acid-free alcohol inks are dye-based, highly transparent and are unparalleled for vibrancy. Although there is no guarantee these inks won't fade, we source only the most lightfast dyes for the palette. -The mica powder is 100% ethically sourced, 100% pure colour, 100% vegan friendly, 100% cosmetic grade, 100% cruelty-free and 100% natural. -The metallic pigments offer excellent resistance to fading, do not contain lead and are solvent-free. -The opaque pigments are non-toxic and provide a strong, intense, long-lasting colour. Resin Inclusions -The Angelina Fibre is a unique, lustrous, glittery fibre that is light reflective and luminescent. It adds sparkle to your resin. -The Angelina Film adds amazing iridescent effects to the resin. -The crystals are real. -The glass fragments are made from recycled glass. -The gemstones are either precious, semi-precious or created by Swarovski. -The solvent resistant glitter is designed for the use with resin. It is made from Aluminium Polyester film, is non-bleeding and non-particle melting and is cosmetic grade and non-toxic. -The mica flakes are 100% ethically sourced, 100% pure colour, 100% vegan friendly, 100% cosmetic grade, 100% cruelty-free and 100% natural. Adhesive We bond gems etc to my resin work by using high quality epoxy resin adhesives. We endeavour to prevent adhesion failure by using epoxy resin adhesives which claim to be incredibly strong and durable. We believe that such imperfections add to the jewellery’s authenticity, ensuring you have a genuine handcrafted item Jewellery Care -Clean resin work with a soft, lint-free cloth. -Do not use any chemicals or abrasives. -Gently wipe sterling silver with a microfibre jewellery polishing cloth -When not in use, store your jewellery in a jewellery box. -Store items individually to avoid scratches. -Do not wear your jewellery whilst taking a bath or shower, applying make-up, body creams or perfumes. -Do not wear your jewellery in bed. -Avoid wearing your jewellery whilst playing sports and other physical activities. -Keep your jewellery away from chemicals such as bleach, chlorine and salt water. -Crisolu Jewellery cannot take responsibility for breakage due to wear and tear or accidents. Packaging We believe implementing sustainable packaging in my brand's operation is a necessity. -The jewellery boxes are made from 40% recycled boxboard and are fully recyclable. -The wadding is made from 100% tarnish-free cotton and does not contain tarnish-accelerating chemicals. -The postal boxes are manufactured from a special blend of pure Kraft and recycled paper/boards and are fully recyclable. -The foam sheet wraps are 100% CFC free and reusable. -The natural paper shred is made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable. It is also reusable. -The tissue paper is PH neutral and is made from 99% recycled pulp fibres. 35% of the electricity used to make this product is produced from renewable sources.
