This is an authentic Goan recipe that was given to me by my aunt, who got this recipe from her very close friend, a Portuguese descendant. This spice blend is NOT the spicy version you find in restaurants across the U.K, it is a beautiful blend of ground coriander, turmeric, chilli, cumin, fenugreek, garlic, ginger, salt, black pepper, celery & onion. Vindaloo – Only know for its fiery spice notes in the western countries. It is in fact a popular dish all the way from Goa & was introduced by the Portuguese (Meat in wine & garlic) in India.
