Woodturned Cherry Bowl – Rushen

This piece of Cherry was felled in Rushen, Isle of Man and dried out over a number of years.
There is an explosion of colours on the outside of the bowl (Which does not fully cover the outside) and the inside is left to the natural look of the grain. These pieces are truly unique and you will never have two identical! You really need to look at all the photos to appreciate the uniqueness
Size of the bowl is approx 15 cm diametre and 5.5 in height

Mark got his love of wood from growing up on a farm in Northern Ireland and spending a lot of his time in the forests and countryside.

Moving to the Isle of Man over 20 years ago, he began working as a tree surgeon and his inspiration to create out of the wood he cut down began to grow! And so it began, over the years it has developed into woodturning, wall hangings, sculpture and bespoke furniture.

He now has a ‘mountain’ of native Manx woods including, elm, yew, laburnum, cherry and many, many more! All waiting in the various stages of readiness to turn into beautiful unique pieces of art
