Small woodturned pot made with Olive Ash felled a number of years ago in Abbeylands, Isle of Man.
The wood was left to dry over a number of years before being thinly turned into this pot. The decorated outside has been inspired by the colours of autumn 🍁 leaves. The colours blend into the wood grains to give a lovely glow

Mark got his love of wood from growing up on a farm in Northern Ireland and spending a lot of his time in the forests and countryside.

Moving to the Isle of Man over 20 years ago, he began working as a tree surgeon and his inspiration to create out of the wood he cut down began to grow! And so it began, over the years it has developed into woodturning, wall hangings, sculpture and bespoke furniture.

He now has a ‘mountain’ of native Manx woods including, elm, yew, laburnum, cherry and many, many more! All waiting in the various stages of readiness to turn into beautiful unique pieces of art
