Woodturned Sycamore Bowl

This piece of sycamore was felled in Ballacraine, Isle of Man and dried out over a number of years.
I have turned this bowl quite thinly. You could use it as a fruit bowl or just leave it empty as a decorative piece to show the natural beauty of this wood.
The Sycamore tree is a large tree with maple shaped leaves.
Size of the bowl is approx 23cm diametre and 10cm in height
Free delivery/collection Isle of Man.
Can be posted to UK by special delivery, postage will be added at checkout depending on weight

Mark got his love of wood from growing up on a farm in Northern Ireland and spending a lot of his time in the forests and countryside.

Moving to the Isle of Man over 20 years ago, he began working as a tree surgeon and his inspiration to create out of the wood he cut down began to grow! And so it began, over the years it has developed into woodturning, wall hangings, sculpture and bespoke furniture.

He now has a ‘mountain’ of native Manx woods including, elm, yew, laburnum, cherry and many, many more! All waiting in the various stages of readiness to turn into beautiful unique pieces of art
