Colours are important in Chinese culture as they are endowed with lucky meanings. The three main colours considered lucky in daily life and special occasions are red, yellow and green.
This 3D star has been completely woven from tiny red and gold beads and depicts a Tiger head and the corresponding Chinese symbol on either side.
Suspended from a crescent moon hanger, it is completed with a pale green jade bead and a red tassel.
